Planning is one of the most crucial phases in building a website. Planning typically takes up 50%-60% of the time we spend on a site.

During the planning phase, we brainstorm and mastermind an estimate for your site. This estimate outlines all the ins and outs of your site.

Once we've planned out all of the behaviors and functionality of your site and collected a 50% deposit, we'll move onto the next step, Graphic Design & Approval.

The design & approval phase consists of our production of graphics for your website and your approval. We will send you static, non-interactive mockups of your site's graphics and have you critique them. Tell us you love it, hate it, have small changes, etc...

It's very important that you critique the mockups during this phase; making major changes after this step can result in an increase to your original estimated price.

We typically allow for up to three major alterations to the mockups before your estimated price increases. Major alterations refer to large, dramatic changes to the graphic mockups. Little changes are always accepted.

This is the phase in which we actually build your site. Having already planned out your site, it's actually pretty easy to code the site and its behaviors.

We build your site on one of our own testing servers and allow you to watch the progress of the site throughout this phase.

We also develop solid html styles. These styles affect the site globally, giving a consistent look and feel for your site, across all pages. This way, when changes need to be made the stylings of each element are already in place, and your newly added text will match your site immediately.

Once you're happy with the testing site, we'll collect final payment and move the site to its permanent location. This phase can take anywhere from ten minutes to ten days, depending on the complexity of your site.

Launching can typically be completed by the same day as final payment, but in some cases, depending on the complexity of the site, it may take longer.

Additionally, we will send you (snail mail) backups of your site and any photoshop files, original documents, etc. that go along with it. I mean, it is your website, right?
